Wondering in the makeup aisle of Walgreens, I came across the Maybelline Master Strobing Liquid. With all the hype about highlighters and illuminating products, I thought I would give this one a try. Correct me if I am wrong, but this is the only drugstore strobing cream that I have seen. There are 3 shades: Light – Iridescent, Medium- Nude Glow and Deep- Gold. Today I will be reviewing the shade Light – Iridescent. If you are interested in a review of one of the other shades, please let me know.
Packaging and Price
The Maybelline Master Strobing Cream retails for $9.99. The cream is packaged in a wide ‘tube’ and is easy to control the amount of product that is coming out. It only contains 0.67 oz. (20mL) of product, but keep in mind it’s only $9.99.
Packaging and Price: 4.5 / 5
I was expecting this cream to be sticky, but it’s not. It’s really easy to blend and it looks beautiful on the skin. I would recommend the shade Light – Iridescent for pale to light skin tones. The cream gives you a nice settle glow without looking oily. You can also build it up for a more dramatic highlight. The Maybelline Master Strobing Cream can be wear by itself to give a nice settle glow or it can be mixed with foundation (or primer) for an all over glow.
Formula 5 /5
Swatch on the top is the cream without blending. Swatch on the bottom is the cream blended.
I used this product the first time without a primer and it lasted all day, but it did fade a little. When you wear it with a primer it definitely last more and keeps it’s intensity.
Durability: 4 / 5
