It is always important to dedicate time to ourselves. At least once a week I dedicate time to myself by creating a home spa. Instead of spending money on going to a spa I use the products that I already have at home and create a Home Spa Day without spending a dime. Today I am sharing my favorite products to pamper myself and I have a surprise giveaway at the end of the post.
Like all the products that I will be mentioning in this post, my favorite face mask is the Loreal Pure Clay Mask. This masks helps when I am having dry skin because it doubles as an exfoliator. I start by applying this mask with a flat foundation brush. After I let it sit on my face for 10 to 15 minutes I remove it with water in circular motion to help exfoliate and get rid of dry skin.
Some weeks, when my face is not suffering from dryness, I use one of my studio 35 beauty masks that can be found in the drugstore. If I need a cleanse I will use the Cucumber Peel off Mask that helps to remove impurities. When I feel that my skin need hydrating I use the Cream Sheet Mask with Goat’s Milk and Chamomile.
While I have my face mask on I usually take a bath. I like exfoliating with the St. Ives Even & Bright Pink Lemon and Mandarin Exfoliating Body Wash. I recently discovered this body wash and its the only thing I have been using. It’s not only a body wash it also contains small “beads” that gently exfoliates the skin. The selling point of this product for me is definitely the tropical smell. When I am done with my bath I use the Nivea Soft Moisturizing Cream, to moisturize my body. This Nivea cream does not only work for your body, but also for the face and hands.
I have really frizzy hair, but recently I learned how to control it.I will have a post up soon about all the products that I use to help tame my frizzy hair, so don’t forget to follow me on Bloglovin’ to keep up with future posts. Today, however, I am sharing the hair mask that I use to help with my hair. I use the Ion Keratin Smoothing Masque. I leave it in my hair for around 5 minutes and then rinse it off. This product leaves my hair soft, less frizzy and you can see the results the first time you use it.
Manicure and Pedicure
To finish my home spa day I apply nail and cuticle balm to moisturize. I leave it for a while and after that I apply nail polish and finish with a top coat. If you read my 3 Essie Nail Polishes for the Neutral Girl post then you know that I love neutral nails, but since summer is near I wanted to share 3 of my favorite nail color.
- 156 Making Mauve – A ‘nudish’ color
- 186 Petal Pusher – A pale pink color
- 336 Lively Lilac – A lilac color
(All are the Sally Hansen Insta Dri)
